12/18/2010 1:50:26 PM Jeff Orlow It's starting to occur more often now. Brother Ralph D'Arge has died. Brother D'Arge pledged in 1959. Ralph D'arge was born June 20, 1941 and passed away June 27, 2009 in Kentucky. He graduated from Pierce and Chico State , and received his Phd in economics from Cornell in 1968. He briefly was married to Brother Davidson's wife's sister, who tragically died last week. He taught economics at University of New Mexico, Riverside, and retired from the University of Wyoming in the late 1990's. He moved to Kentucky and bought a horse ranch and raised race horses. He leaves a wife and a son. The cause of death is unknown.

4/4/2010 3:27:58 PM Joe Marquette Ed Teter, beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather, passed away April 1, 2010, after a heroic 5 year battle with cancer. He was 61. Born May 3, 1948 to the late Billie and Edward Teter Sr., Ed spent his childhood in Corsicana, Texas before moving to Northridge, California for high school. He and Judith Keener were married on May 3, 1981, in Ojai, Calif. where they resided for 29 years. Ed was a proud member of the Los Angeles City Fire Department since 1972, where he worked for 37 years. He was respected and loved by his firemen family. Ed always volunteered his time and energy in times of need. He worked along his fellow firemen in relief efforts post 911 at Ground Zero, assisted with the construction of new homes following Katrina, and helped build an orphanage in Mexico. He was always giving back. For the last 6 years, Ed enjoyed such precious moments with his family as driving his grandchildren around in the Kabota, taking annual summer trips to Lake San Antonio and volunteering to babysit at every opportunity. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He leaves many wonderful memories to his family: wife Judy, sisters Lynda and Ellen, children Ginger, Holly, Amber, Jedidiah and Jamie, son-in-laws, and grandchildren Sage (5), Aspen (4), Peter (3), Jorgia (3), Riley (2), Natalie (2), Jacob (1) and one on the way. He will be missed by many. Services will be held at Ojai Valley Presbyterian Church on Saturday April 10 at 3 p.m. Gathering to follow at the familys residence in Upper Ojai. Arrangements are under the direction of the Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo. Tel: (805) 983-3457, Please sign Ed's guestbook at www.CamarilloMortuary.com

Sunday June 6th is a great time for all of you guys that don't come around to get together. You don't have to play golf, just show up at 9:30AM or around 4:00 and we can tell old war stories together. Think about it.

11/29/2009 9:42:53 PM Joe Marquette Date: Sun, 29 Nov 2009 14:31:59 -0800 Family and Friends, As a few of you know, Norman has not felt very well since Sept. After multiple visits to his many doctors, with weight loss, fatigue, a cough and pain on the left side of his chest. Each day he grew weaker and more tired and the pain in his chest grew worse. On Sunday, the 15th, he slept 17 hours. On Monday, the 16th, he agreed to go into the E.R. rather than start another round of appointments with a pulmonary doctor added to the list. You guessed it, looks like lung cancer. He was admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange. He was on the Oncology floor. Many more tests, X-rays, MRIs, CT Scans, blood, biopsies and bone scans. What we all knew was verified, an advanced form of lung cancer (stage 4), in multiply sites, which with chemo might get him a year, but without it, a possible 3 months survival. Norman has chosen to do home hospice (No Chemo). We met with a hospice rep that Saturday. Our son, Mike, flew in that Sunday from Melbourne, FL. Surprise they let him come home on that Saturday. Second meeting with the hospice nurse, this time it was at our house. Shortly after getting home, a big red truck delivered oxygen tanks, an oxygen generator, and a collapsible red wheel chair. On Monday another hospice nurse arrived, this time with even more paperwork than the first one. On Tuesday a hospice Social Worker stopped by to explain the part she plays in his Hospice Team. Norman is still able to go up and down the stairs now, but on Monday a contractor friend of ours will be putting a temporary wall and door between the family room and the kitchen/hallway. This will make the family room into a bedroom and give him access to the back patio and yard. So here we are two weeks later. Mike left to return home to his family. We are settling into our new reality. This is not a road we thought we would travel so soon. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Bev Beer

3/6/2009 8:38:52 AM Jeff Orlow Hi everyone, It is with a deep heart I have to announce the death of a dear friend of 49 years, Richard Huffman. He died in his sleep Wednesday night. In his 67 years of life, he rose from the bottom rung of the plumbing corporate ladder to designing the complex plumbing problems of high rise buildings in and around the Los Angeles International Airport. While working he was still able to tend to all the needs of his wonderful wife, Carol, who had multiple sclerosis and later a kidney transplant. He built her a beautiful home in Thousand Oaks that was especially designed to accommodate her wheelchair and blindness. After the death of his precious Carol, he continued to care for his mother and his grandson. This mountain of a man spent his entire adult life caring for his family without once complaining. Recently, he was beginning to enjoy his life, taking up golf and visiting Las Vegas. His life was cut short. I will miss this man a lot. He leaves behind his son Buster and daughter Leslie, five grandchildren, Riley, Olivia, Gabrielle, Richard and Cody. If you want to send a card, send it to: Buster Huffman 937 Askov Place Solvang, Ca. 93463

2/19/2009 12:05:04 PM Jan Siegfried What corner was the Hamlin House on? I'm thinking it was Kester, so my Google sattelite map shows that it was torn down and replaced with warehouse-looking buildings. Sad. Those were good memories!

2/18/2009 11:17:12 AM Jan Siegfried Surface! Surface! Surface! After 30-plus years of wandering the world, I decided to Google Sigma Delta and WOW!! I found this site. How y'all doing? I'm having some trouble with incompatible browsers so I can't update my profile right now. Renee is helping. For now, Hi to you from Ohio! - Col Klink F72

1/4/2009 8:36:55 PM Dee Anthony Happy New Year! Hey Papa - happy to hear you are out of the hospital and making some healthy progress. Keep up the good work! Your monthly (or even 2-3 months) gathering idea is a good one. I hope someone will initiate it. I'll see what I can do, although a little difficult for me to join in from Reno. Take care everyone and all the best wishes for 2009.

12/28/2008 10:05:43 AM Frank Casias HEy Bro.s Hope you all had a great Chrtistmas. I just glad to be around. Was in the hospital back in September for a heart problem. THey did a "procedure" and I got a better flow to my head. I CAN SEEEE. Kidding aside, it was a life awaking. I've managed, so, to lose 43 UNWANTED pounds. I still have bad knees, but I'm getting around a little better with limited use of my cane. Hey has it been cold or what. Iwas in Wyoming over Thanksgiving, got got in one of dem thar blizzards. Fortunately I was on medical leave and in no hurry to get anywhere. Took three days for the plows to get where we were. Now I'm back to work. I was get a little stir crazy staying home. Got used to waking up at around 9am. You're right Dee, we need something to fill in the gaps. I've been re-enlisted back into the US Jaycees as an "OLD TIMER". Was good to see some of those guys, that we helped raise funds for causes. See ya'll soon, hopefully. Here's a thought: how about a monthly gathering at some pizza joint, say Shakey's on Devonshire, on last Friday of each month. -Papa C

6/14/2008 6:12:54 PM Chris Anderson I missed the reunion as usual. So, does anyone remember the chicken stealing night? Wayne and I and others? raided the Pierce College chicken house and took burlap sacks of the critters back to the house to eat. No one really knew what to do. Wayne tried to ring one of their necks by twirling it over his head. Finally we all gave up and the chickens ran loose all over the house and out to freedom.

5/8/2008 11:29:12 AM Joe Marquette Please Note: Gil Noble's Zip Code Is 92084 Sorry I made a typo and the four was left off.

1/10/2008 11:52:25 AM Jeff Rochlin Gary was one of the finest gentleman I have ever met. Kind sincere friendly and one hell of a great Sig Delt. The website the pictures and all the good things Gary did to keep our precious memories alive, will not be forgotten. Now Gary is one more precious memory we will all have to remember. God Bless You!

1/5/2008 1:50:21 PM John Witney Gary, as we celebrate your life and your unselfish accomplishments we will all think about you every time we log on. Brother John Witney

1/4/2008 6:57:11 PM Esther Hawksford I just received an e-mail from Marilyn Jackson (thank you, Marilyn) relaying the sad, sad news. It gave me a chill when I opened this website to see Gary's photo and remember that we would not even have this venue to express our thoughts and appreciation had it not been for him. This is a reminder to hold fast to your loved ones... because none of us know when the last time we see them will be. My deepest condolences to his family. Love, Esther Hawksford

1/4/2008 6:34:26 PM Frank Casias I just got home from the holidays and sat down here to read my backlog of email. As usual, I start from the oldest date and come forward. But when I saw that "FW"message, my heart fell . A deep sense of lost went over me. I flashed back to years gone by, when we would gather at Bro.Stratfords house for an evening of poker. I can still hear him saying"May I have another, Sir?" Three years ago, my wife and I went on a cruise and when we went to our table the first night, Gary and Renee were seated across from us. There was a Toga party that they wore their togas to. To say that "Gary will be missed" is an understatement. He was, as already said, one of the "backbones of this Sigma Delta Fraternity Alumni Association. Even now, his wesite was useful, cause I couldn't remember my darn password. I sit here trying to think of words that will ease the sprrow that each of us feels. And as I do, I can imagine that he is "up there" in a circle of Brothers, songing "For and Twenty Sig Delts". AND Bro.Gary, we will raise our mugs high and toast one "To The ROPE !" To Gary's family, my wife and I know the sorrow you are and will go through, having lost a member of our "inner" family. We offer our most heartfelt condolences and prayers. Keeping in mind that our Lord will bring us together again. Brother Gary, I do expect to see some GREAT photos when I get there. Papa C.

1/3/2008 6:47:17 PM Ted Cotter This guy is my pledgefather? Doesn't he have to be older then me to be my pledgefather? That's how it began Spr 75 With Gary's passing a stroke of mortality screams out from within us. It reminds us that our friendships demand more attention for they may not be there tommarrow. My thoughts have been with Renee and the children since I heard. Gary was never much for talking about doing something he would just do it. Leading by example, what a concept, that's something we all can learn from. Gary we already miss you Minisurfer Spr75

1/2/2008 5:02:04 PM Dennis Dow Three weeks before the 60th, my heart stopped. I share this with a sincere sense of the loss, and chaos, that this presents for Renee and her children; also, in hope that we all embrace our days more intensely and meaningfully, love our children more openly and unbounded; and more than abstractly realize the fragility of this whole operation. Oh, by the way, this is Jerry Grashaw. Bro. Dow happened to be sitting across the table from me when we found out about Gary. I could NEVER get into the Sig Delt web page without Gary"s help. (Technologically illiterate you know.) Now what am I suppose to do? I am afraid we are entering the time when this will be more ocurring. So, we touch the moments and appreciate all. It"s really all we have that is of worth. Peace within us all.

12/31/2007 7:28:59 PM Marilyn Jackson (Sciarabba) We are all deeply saddened and will miss Gary and his monumental contribution. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Renee and his children. Thank goodness we were blessed to have enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating the brotherhood and fellowship. Gary's memory will live on in our hearts. Love, Sweetheart, Marilyn

12/31/2007 6:32:46 PM Eero Kartiala Gary has been my good friend since High school. I will truly miss him. My prayers are with Renee and his kids. I am glad that I recruited him to join Sigma Delta. He is one of the good ones. A Doer. Lurch, SP. 74

12/31/2007 1:12:01 PM Dee Anthony As I wrote to some of you this morning in my e-mail, I am deeply saddened. Gary was definitely one of the backbones of Sigma Delta. Without his love and dedication we would not be able to stay connected and enjoy the memories through the pictures he provided. I pray that God will be with his family and get them through this great loss. I am so glad we were able to see, and spend time with him during our anniversary weekend. He is irreplaceable and will be greatly missed – not for just what he has done for Sigma Delta, but for the person that he was. Please keep our golf tournaments and reunions going, with maybe some occasional new events added in. Life is too short not to enjoy spending time together whenever we can. Love, Sweetheart Dee

12/31/2007 12:05:06 PM Thomas Noble Sadness looms over our brotherhood this day, Brother Gary Ingwerson pasted away Sat. 12/29/07 of a heart attack. The keeper of this web site and a very active member of the "doers", the small group who have kept us together thru the years. It's a pleasure to have known 'Mutt', my pledge brother from SM'74, you will be missed. Jive Turkey SM. '74

12/26/2007 6:28:21 AM Chris Anderson I am in LA visiting my mother and found this website. It has taken me back to those days....I left Santa Barbara in 76 and moved to Washington. I live on an island off Seattle called Vashon. I intend to contact those of you I knew. It has brought back some interesting memories. I am sorry I missed the get together. It's one I would have made.

12/4/2007 7:56:23 AM Mike Conroy I want to thank Joe for all the help in arranging the 60th Anniversary Party. Without him, we would have no party. Also, I'd like to thank Gary for taking all the photos. Without him, we would have no website. So, please try to help Gary out by donating to our website. It was great to see the guys from 40 years ago. Let me know if you're ever in Kentucky - stop by!

11/7/2007 4:28:04 PM Frank Casias Can't beleive it's been almost a month already, since the big bash. It's taken that long for me to recover from all the excitement that weekend. It was great see all the brothers. Some a little balder or greyer. I really enjoyed the band, playing music for all to enjoy. My special thanks to the committee for putting on a remembered evening and also thanks to the host of the picnic who I see had their whole family helping out. I only wish we could get together more often. I was so shocked to see/hear about Marty Perez. I had wondered what had happened to my poker pal. ....... Well, I guest I'll be talking to some of you throughout the year and hope to be at the golf tourny next year, if only to ride around. Adios, mi hermanos

4/17/2004 3:46:02 PM Gil & Joe COMING SOON ! 32nd Sigma Delta GOLF TOURNAMENT!!!

3/30/2004 11:29:51 AM The Other One "I see what your saying" the poor blind man replied as Gradshaw waddled off to ask Trish for permission to play in the "Jive Turkey Bull Event" "Putter, putter" exclaimed Bob French " I've been walking around with my putter in my hand for years, I've never thought of having a beer in the other." Bro. Dow insisted he be allowed to drive down from up north to keep check of the assets, Bro. Eero informed him the girls were not playing this year. Bro. Lucas wanted the winner to drive around in one of his cars for a whole month free of charge, he always wants to steal the show. Hatred came up with a good idea, mini art shows at every tee (his pictures only) but Bro. Gary wanted his photo pictures included. Boys, boys, boys, we don't change, just time marches on.

3/30/2004 8:50:39 AM Eero Kartiala Jive Turkey (Noble the other one) had a great idea. Have the Golf Tournament at a mini golf coarse. This way all you need is a putter in one hand and a beer in the other. There will be no longest ball, just closest to hole (Turkeys hole). We decided to name this tournament "The Jive Turkey Bull Event" The idea is to lie about your score and see who comes up with the best bull. A Jive Turkey trophy will be given to the best. Lurch

3/29/2004 9:32:18 PM Bro. Noble (the other one) So, is it true? The rumors that I hear from Bro. Casias that there is going to be a golf tourniment this June? Bro. Casias said that Bro Kartialla (Eero) was going to set up this event with Bro. Lucas and Bro. Hatred as soon as they got ahold of Bro. Noble (Gil) and Bro. Marquete (Lil' Joe). So, is this true? Cynderella said she would go! So did Mutt.

3/7/2004 9:19:23 PM mike conroy I have now retired am buying a home in kentucky going to play golf, pool and boating.let me know if anyone ever gets to kentucky and wants to play let me know?

6/3/2003 12:38:57 PM Bob French Thanks Gil and Joe for the great tourney! What a hoot to hear the "Sigdelt Kids" give their birth years instead of a pledge class year!! 6/21/2002 1:02:46 AM Mutt Sm'74 Ah, Jive Turkey...my friend, my friend

But where were you? We would have loved to have seen what hair you still cherish and whether your middle is still in the middle. There was a beer waiting on the table for you. In fact, it's probably still there, warm and flat as the morning-after kegs we so often shared.

6/20/2002 10:16:23 PM Jive Turkey Sm'74 What a time, what a time!!! Great to see every one. I noticed the tables were the same, the food is the same, the bottles of beer are the same and our poses were the same, the difference was us. Little thinner on top and heavier around the middle, but the friendship, ahh the friendship, that will never change.

3/23/2002 10:43:08 AM Darlene (Thompson) Van Hemelryck I haven't checked the Guest Book in awhile and what a shock to hear about Richard Dow. I remember him as always be so strong. How so very sad to lose another old friend. The Omega's also lost one of our own recently. I'm sure some of you remember Doris Nichol. She died last summer. Please extend my deepest sympathy to all who were close to Richard.

2/18/2002 8:56:31 PM Frank Casias Brothers-My heart was hit a heavy blow when I was scanning my e-mail and stopped at the message from Joe. I, as all of you, was shocked to hear this news about Richard. When I was being "rushed" he was descibed to me as a "legend" of our fraternity. Now he is goes to join our other fallen brothers. - "Brother Richard Dow" - For some of us he was that legend, for most of us he was a friend, but for all of us he remained a brother,.... a brother til the end. Now Brothers I ask you, to raise your mugs up high. Here's to four and twenty Sig Delts, and another cup of rye. Brother Dow, this is just "see you later" and not Good Bye. For we all shall be together, in that frat house in the sky.

2/15/2002 11:57:21 AM David Whitson & Joe Marquette Reguarding Richard Dow's Services If you cannot be with us on the 23rd and would like to be a part of saying good bye to Richard. 12/16/2001 1:52:17 PM Papa C Just want to wish all you brothers a very merry christmas and a happy new year. Remember when you tip too many "Scotch and Soda..." "gigger of GIN"...got to watch out for that "Spell you got me in"... especially that "Bottle of Wine" you know that "..Friut of the vine", because before you know it, you'll start reciting "Kathley Mathley". I still remember seeing Bro. Mike Brown hugging the "Porcelen Queen", the morning after ANY party. Seriously, stay safe and be well my friends.I stop before I start "...Rambled and we Rambled" oops, I'm at it again. Oh. I dugout my Pledge Book, yeah I still have it. Anyway, I was going thru it, you know down memory lane. Do you remember what the standard answer was for what "a favorite romanic setting" was? Do you still takes showers and you get that faint smell of a "Salad"?you know what I mean. Hey, before I leave you, I found this poem and thought you'd might think about. "They say what doesn't kill us, only strengthens what remains. And no one sees a rainbow, without going through the rain. And whether that's still true today, time will only tell. Because now we face our darkest time, the day the towers fell."

11/6/2001 1:47:05 AM Joseph Reesha I'm still in favor of the WHCC, but with respect to others, I went to a wedding two weeks ago at Encino Glen at Burbank & Balboa by the golf course. It was a nice room and the food was quite good and talking to my friends who got married, they were very please with the facility and folks they worked with. They do have an outside area that is comforable for cigar smokes, but they also have an attached Pattio to the main room. I certainly liked it better the the local hotels. I was at a Christmass Party at Knolwood year before last. Didn't like it at all and I know the group who rented it won't go back. Nice place, but not classy enough for our Aniversay. At least not the room that I saw. The various band that I mentioned ALL DO Music from the 30's, 40's and certainly the 50's. 60's through current is par for the course. And since they have so much to choose from I'll work with others to help build the basic sets to work from. They wil certainly do requests. But it's really early for this... just know they're there to consider when the time comes. This past Friday night at Galletto's in Westlake Village just cooked! Would have made Brother Noble proud. AND GALLETTO'S is only 10 minutes from Woodland Hills. That would a fantasic place for a Friday Night Gathering. It has great pluses. Wonderful Food, Dance Floor, A great Bar with the Best Looking Bartenders on the planet (they'll still be there next year too), and live music. About 50 of my friends besides the normal crowd showed that night and the room made for a really nice mix of energy. I don't know which Brothers are living out that way these days, but if you know e-mail me at base@pacificnet.net with their phone number if you have it. I'll pull them in to see some of these bands as they play around the 101 corridor. This way you can get some other opinions. J.

10/24/2001 9:06:19 PM Don Jones Dear Brothers,
Good of you to take the lead on this, but then thats why you get the brotherhood award, which you deserve. Call me a tradiditionalist (sp) "Old Fashioned" or just too old to change, but I like the Valley as well as the WHCC. There is no confusion as to where we are going, no other guests to crowd us out on the dance floor. No interference when we want to retire out to the veranda and smoke our own cigars. One requirement for the band from a former social chairman is that the band play "Louie Louie " at least twice. Also, some stroll music would be good too. Also, no hostiles from the local black and white, if a bro' falls out in the parking lot (does any one remember the the swami, two events ago?). With all the weirdness going down that is a big plus, I don't want to run a gauntlet of metal detectors at a place like the Queen Mary, what if they want to confiscate my good Cuban cigars .Nuff said you have my input.I can! barely wait!

10/24/2001 11:31:29 AM Marilyn Jackson Suggestions for an alternative place would be:
1. Knollwood Country Club (Northridge)
2. Encino Golf Course (Encino)
3. The Oddessy Restaurant (Mission Hills)
4. The Castaway Restaurant (Burbank)
These all have excellent large rooms that can accommodate the Sig Delts nicely! They all have catering with diverse meal choices, dance floors-stages, and lovely garden areas. I've attended many functions at all of them. The service and food for large groups was excellent.

On Friday, they usually go to the Cantina and throw back a few beers, but if they want to have a family type of get together, I suggest a Pizza Party - Bowling Party! There are many Bowling houses that would love a large group.
Mission Hills Bowl, Mission Hills
Rocket Bowl in Woodland Hills
Canoga Bowl, Canoga Park
Pickwick in Studio City
I'm sure there are more, but I'm not that familiar with the valley any more. The key is to encourage participation and have the Sig Delts and their families show up. Organization is very important. Committees need to be "volunteered" well in advance for each function. Joe and Gil have most of this on their shoulders exclusively. Not an easy job. I suggest the weekend be divided up into three groups.
A) Friday committee for "Family Pizza Party & Bowling Tournament"
B) Saturday the Anniversary Party
C) Sunday Family Picnic Day.... Wouldn't it be fun to have this function at Tapia Park again as in our college days? Or even possibly at Pierce College? Surely the football stadium, open grassy fields by the gyms can be used for games, relay races, and have prizes. There is plenty of parking and tables can be set up easily. Restrooms are nearby. What more could they want? Granted, Pierce doesn't look as manicured as it did back then, (I was shocked when I drove through a few months ago). But this is where it all began.
Just my old two cents!
Marilyn

10/24/2001 11:24:11 AM JIM McINERNEY GARY, GREAT JOB ON OUR WEB SITE. JOE, IF I CAN HELP WITH ANYTHING FOR THE 55TH LET ME KNOW. DO YOU STILL PLAY GOLF OR HAVE YOU HUNG UP YOUR BALLS?

10/24/2001 10:41:09 AM Gary Ingwersen Hello Arlene. Welcome. What don't you sign-up? Doesn't cost anything and we have lots of online photos to view. You may even get in touch with past friends. If you know the whereabouts of other Theta's, let them know about the site.

10/24/2001 10:15:32 AM Arlene (Ringelheim) Parker I'm from Theta Chi Omega W'70 class

10/24/2001 10:00:29 AM George Cotter Sig Delts,

The time honored tradition of our anniversary party is a very important event in every Sig Delt's life, let's remember that. The Woodland Hills Country Club is a great place to have such a cherished event and we know what to expect, but on the other hand the Queen Mary does offer the convenience of rooms on site. We have to take into consideration the cost but when the event is every 5 years is the really that significant? If we keep the cost at a reasonable rate ( $150-$200 a couple ) we can expect to draw a large crowd. The cost of doing such events is constantly going up, believe me, I do several events a year and to do something special it will cost us a little more. I do realize that the cost is more important to some than others, but with a years advance notice it gives the brothers a chance to plan ahead. (if you give up a beer a week you can save $150-200 in a year's time.) The live band is a great idea as long as it does play the oldies that reflect our generation of bros aging mid-forties to the mid-sixties. A suggestion that I propose is that we have sponsorships for some of the expenses. We could have a sponsor for the band, the printing, mailing etc. Some of the bros that can afford it would be willing to donate I'm sure, especially if it helps get other bros there. Call me if you need anything. .....Y.I.B. Cotter

10/24/2001 8:30:36 AM Dee Anthony Hi Everyone! With respect to the 55th - even though the Queen Mary was a great place to have an event, I think we should stay closer to "home". There are many who can just barely come up with the cost of the event and would not be able to afford a hotel also which means a long drive home. There are also those who have the responsibility of children. If you want to try someplace different, which would be fine with me, there is the Woodland Hills Marriott. I can call them and check into their cost - let me know. Also, does the Calabasas Inn have banquet rooms. Let me know what you think - I can also call them. I also agree with Joe about the convenience for decorating and the close proximity for other things we may want to do. Let me know what I can do to help!!!

10/24/2001 12:16:00 AM joseph reesha Responding to Gary Ingwersen's e-mail as to suggestions. I'm still in favor of Woodland Hills. One reason is that we have both the Calabasas Inn which is reasonably priced for those wanting to come in from out of town or just stay locally to avoid drinking and driving. This worked out very well at the last bash. Also, we have a variety of night spots to choose from from that location and if one wanted to take a cab, it's a close jaunt. Also, if we go with LIVE MUSIC, it keeps the price down because one must consider transportation on their part. The best LIVE MUSIC happens when the bands feel they are invited to be involved with the night, not just the stage. I was at an event early last year at BreMar CC (spelling), in the hills above Tarzana. Looking back and comparing these styled environments and personal touches, it's hard to find this in in the normal available facilities found in hotels and others. Especially when it comes to the quality of the food. One other item: The Location of Woodland Hills makes it easy to access in the middle of the day for decorating. We had many Brothers make it for that aspect of it. REMINDER: FRIDAY, NOV. 2ND AT GALLETTO'S IN WESTLAKE VILLAGE. The band, RADIO CLUB will be playing. Get back to me if you are interested in showingup and checking them out ...or just show up. I'll be there about 8:00 for dinner. YIB.

9/28/2001 10:40:24 AM GIL NOBLE Sigma Delta will always be alive, bro Nunez!!!! Larry Forrest... Dave March... David Lee... Fred Streek.... gray hair... John Girard??? What is up, Sig Delts!!!???!!!

55th anniversary is just one year away so start saving you coins now...the last one was the most incredible one yet...seems that everyone is just so darn happy to relive the crazy days of yester-year, bringing back fantastic stories and wondering how so many of us survived!!!

The success of these functions is directly related to the amount of time and effort each of us spends contacting each other. Sometimes we feel a little awkward calling a bro after a number of years has gone by, but it is worth it!!! It brings a real good feeling to both.

Major thanks to bro Gary Ingwersen, and his lovely wife Renee, for their efforts in setting up this fantastic communications device. Let bro "Little Joey" Marquette and me know what you want at the 55th, and we will do our best!!!

Realize that we have something very, very special in our Sig Delt relationship!!!!!

A little over a year from right now. Maybe The Woodland Hills CC would have us back again? It's been great in the past. A live Band? DJ? Or Scott Manatt and George Cotter could sing and dance for us? Well were just starting to make some plans. Let us know your thoughts and keep sending Gary new info on other Brothers, Sisters, etc. Take Care Everyone. Yours in Brotherhood Always Gillie & Joe

9/9/2001 11:37:50 AM Gary Ingwersen John, the current scrapbook idea is somewhat in place with the Golf pictures. The challenge is how to get the old farts who don't attend, or have be unable attend current functions, to send in photos. We also post current pictures in the Alphabetical Roster, but I'm lacking current shots for most. Why don't you start a trend by sending me something with your current hairline. Anything anyone sends me (along with the date of the photo) will be searchable by the date. Let's hope we get a GREAT turnout for the 55th Anniversary in 2002.
